Okay, let me just say — this family session was pure magic. We met up in the mountains just above Yucaipa, California, and wow… the light, the location, the weather — everything came together perfectly. As an Inland Empire family photographer, I get to shoot in so many gorgeous spots across Southern California, and my gosh - I'm always in awe of how beautiful some of the locations are.
This sweet family of three was new to me this year, but you wouldn’t have guessed it by how easily we clicked. Their little girl kept us all on our toes with her big personality and tiny adventurer energy. I swear, sessions with toddlers are like cardio... but the best kind.
Mom absolutely nailed the wardrobe — their outfits were coordinated in that effortless, “we look amazing but didn’t try too hard” way. (Seriously, take notes — she did an incredible job!) It made everything feel even more cohesive with the natural mountain colors around us.
We explored a good chunk of the area, chasing light, picking little wildflowers, and laughing the whole way. I love sessions like this — where it feels like we’re just hanging out, not doing anything too posed or stiff. That relaxed, playful vibe definitely showed in their final gallery. So many sweet, candid moments — the kind that you’ll want to look back on for years.
