From Playground to Cap & Gown: Celebrating a Class of 2025 Grad in Yucaipa, CA
This session hit me right in the heart.
I’ve known this senior’s mama since we were kids—back when summer felt endless and our biggest worry was what snack to bring to the sleepover. Fast forward a couple of decades (in what feels like a blink), and now her baby boy is graduating high school. Class of 2025. It still doesn’t feel real!
We shot this senior session right here in Yucaipa, CA, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. Open skies, golden light, and all the relaxed vibes that make my heart so happy. Watching him during his session—confident, kind, full of life—it was one of those full-circle moments.
As a mom myself, I get it. One minute you're buckling them into a car seat, and the next you're helping them pick out a suit for graduation photos. Time moves faster than anyone warns you.
Graduating high school is such a huge milestone—not just for the kids, but for the moms who’ve been there for every single chapter. The first day of kindergarten. The late-night homework sessions. The sports games, the life talks, the letting go.
That’s why I love these senior sessions. Yes, we’re celebrating your teen and their amazing accomplishments, but we’re also freezing this beautiful moment in time for you. The proud, teary-eyed, “how-did-we-get-here” mama who wants to remember everything about who they are right now—before they step into their next big adventure.
This session in Yucaipa was relaxed, fun, and full of personality—just like him. We wandered through familiar places, laughed a lot, and captured the little in-between moments that say so much without saying a word.
